I have just completed 1.3 miles in 14 minutes. Air Force Minimum is 1.5 Miles in 14:21. Pretty close, right? Well screw that, My goal is to get to their highest rung, 1.5 Miles in 10:55. I'm not too far off, I dont think. : ) The 1.3 miles were run up and down two hills as well.
I'll be working on pushups later tonight, along with playing more DDR. Life is going okay right now.

House Hunt and Car Update
So its been a few days since I've last posted. The Lubbock trip was only somewhat successful. We managed to move a good amount of stuff up there, leaving only our futon, mattress, and a bench among a car load of small items. The house hunt was not so successful.
We found two places that were nice (among many houses that were filthy and disgusting). One was kind of far from campus, and the move in date was two days after I needed to be in Lubbock. The second one was really expensive, but two blocks away from campus. 1200 a month split between three people (plus probably about 300 dollars in utilities) So a little over my budget. I could afford it, but I'd rather save the 900 dollars over the year that I would be saving if I stuck with my budget. I think Elias and I (along with the other roommate) are going to try our hand in just leasing a place without really looking at it. I think it sucks, but we're really running out of time. : C
Other than that, I've been working on my pushups. In order to join the Air Force, I need to do 27, and I'm working on being able to get to 40. I want to over achieve so I dont have to struggle so much during training. I havent been working on my running as seriously as I should be, but I did play DDR for a good amount of time last night, and I really pushed it by playing Max 300. My speed has improved a whole bunch.
My dad completed the repairs on my car, and now it looks fabulous! He's insisting that we repaint the rest of the car Monday, and I wont object. It seems like he really wants to do it. : ) I hope I can get my car up to 300,000 miles at least! I love her!
Anyway, I will be working on improving my workouts and taking up a small diet change. : ) Until next time.

Up to Lubbock!
Today the Fiancee and I are traveling up to Lubbock to move some of our stuff into a friend's garage and find a place to possibly rent out. I'm hoping all this goes well, and according to plan. : ) I kind of dont want to really make this trip anymore, but that's fine. Its the way life works right? Lubbock is where my job is, so I gotta go!
An Introduction to my goals.
Hey All.
My name is Joanna. I'm currently 24 years old and I recently received my B.S. in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics from Texas Tech University. A lot has gone on in my life the past two months, and I have declined an internship that validated my past 4 years of study. Crazy right? Maybe so, who knows.
My fiancee and I will be living together along with a roommate, while he completes his PhD. I will be working a full time job as will he, along with his studies. Who knows what that roommate of ours will be doing, haha.
In the next two years, I have many goals, and I'd REALLY like to achieve them all.
I want to work a full 40 hour week, every week (except Christmas)
I would like to start paying off my student loans (and pay more than the minimum amount)
I want to save up money. I dont want to spend frivolously.
I want to start training for the Military. I am 100% serious. I'm unsure which branch is right for me, but researching this will make me sure.
-Training includes increasing my cardiovascular capacity and muscular strength.
I want to make more food at home.
I want to learn how to be more "green".
This is the first year in 20 years where I will not be going to school. Its a scary thought, this "adulthood". I will be 400 miles from my wonderful family, and I'm at the stage where I want to settle down with my fiancee, but where I can also see my family any time I want... you know... in the same city. : )
All that said, I'm not done learning. Every day we all learn new things, even if it isn't in a classroom. I have learned so much more outside of the classroom than in one. I plan to learn something new every day, even if its small, its STILL something.
I am very nervous about my future. I could have been "set" if I had continued on with my internship and completed it, but something kept nagging me. It wasn't right for me. All I know is that if I have my fiancee, and family, I will be okay. : ) I am very determined to make things work for me. I am very determined to take care of my fiancee to the best of my ability. This nervousness sometimes gets the best of me, but ultimately, I will make things work, because I do not want to fail at this one chance at life!
